Hello Again
Another great day at school. We worked so hard to finish projects we have been working on for the last two weeks. We are almost done with our September calendars, letter writing, regions museum, spelling unit 4, our Utah Signs and Symbols book and reading Sign of the Beaver. Whew!
A few of children have spelling homework tonight. They need to finish the last couple of pages of Unit 4. Please remind them to put their books back in their backpacks tonight so they will have them in class tomorrow.
A big reminder to everyone about our salt dough project tomorrow. We will be doing this first think in the morning so come prepared with your dough in a baggie and cardboard cut out of Utah.
The school fund raiser is coming to a close next week so remember to get the money and materials returned to school A.S.A.P.

Dear Parents,
Let me just say how much I am enjoying your children. What a great bunch of kids. This first month of school has been one of learning about each other, learning about routines and learning about Utah! We have been discussing and doing activities about the 7-Habits on the Leader In Me.
We are working on our basic addition and subtraction facts in math as well as place value, expanded, standard, and word forms of numbers.
Our Utah studies have revolved around the three regions of Utah. This Friday we will be taking our final on this unit. Part of this will be making salt dough maps of the regions. Please remind your child to come prepared that day with a baggie of salt dough and a piece of cardboard 8" x 11" cut into the shape of Utah.
On October 1 we will be going to hear the Utah Symphony and would like the children to dress nicely. They can bring clothes to change into after our return.
Also on October 1st their Utah County reports and projects are due. Please remember to hep and support them, but let them do the work.
Keep reading with them nightly and studying those spelling and vocabulary words.
Thanks for all your support.
