Dear Parents, Let me just say how much I am enjoying your children. What a great bunch of kids. This first month of school has been one of learning about each other,learning about routines and learning about Utah! We have been discussing and doing activities about the 7-Habits on the Leader In Me. We are working on our basic addition and subtraction facts in math as well as place value, expanded, standard, and word forms of numbers. Our Utah studies have revolved around the three regions of Utah. This Friday we will be taking our final on this unit. Part of this will be making salt dough maps of the regions. Please remind your child to come prepared that day with a baggie of salt dough and a piece of cardboard 8" x 11" cut into the shape of Utah. On October 1 we will be going to hear the Utah Symphony and would like the children to dress nicely. They can bring clothes to change into after our return. Also on October 1st their Utah County reports and projects are due. Please remember to hep and support them, but let them do the work.
